BANDHAN EXPRESS
The Bandhan express is an international passenger service which runs between Indian state of Kolkata and Bangladeshi city of Khulna. It is the 2nd modern train link between India and Bangladesh. The route creates the previous Barisal Express route. The train starts at Kolkata railway station on the Indian side,stopping at Dum Dum and Bangaon before reaching the Indian border at Petrapole. The train then crosses to Benapole on the Bangladesh side, going through Jhikargachha, before reaching Khulna railway station. It is an AC express service started on 9th November 2017. This train is operated by the eastern railway zone. The train travels a distance of 172km (107mi) at an average time of 4hrs, this is a weekly service between India and Bangladesh. The train consists of AC first class and AC chair car coaches,since these coaches provide seating and sleeping arrangements.
