This one is capable of hauling trains at a speed range of 110 to 140 km/hr(68 to 87 mph).It is used in many divisions in India Railways.There are around 270 locos of this type produced.Like any other electric train it also gets its energy from the overhead line.The device which connects a loco and the overhead line is the pantograph. Its max. speed is around 93 mph.

The pic shown here is a interior of WAP-7 loco.This is a modified version of WAG-9. WAG-9 is a type of loco used as a goods(freight) carriers.I will go into freight carriers later.
